How to Keep me Healthy:

 

Here are several tips on how to keep me healthy!

 

1.       Feed me a healthy, balanced diet! (See What I like to eat!)  

 

2.       Help me to get plenty of rest!

a.     I need at least 12 hours of rest, in my cage, covered up, in a relatively quiet place, everyday!

b.     I need a few “breaks” during the day!  I love kids, but if I’m played with constantly, I get tired!

 

3.       Give me plenty of fresh water!  I can get dehydrated very quickly!  (I’m not very big, you know!)  I’m used to filtered water, though I’m not really picky!  

Rounded Rectangular Callout: I often “poop” in my water . . . So please watch and keep it clean!  I know it’s disgusting, but I don’t really know how to control that!  And the water tastes NASTY with poop in it . . .

4.       Please clean out my food and water cups every day so that bad bacteria can’t grow in them!  And it’s a good idea to sterilize my food and water cups once a week.  You can run them through the dishwasher if you like! 

 

5.       Because I love to eat ANYTHING, you will have to be careful what you give me, ‘cause there are some foods that aren’t good for me!  Here’s a little list:

a.     Avacado

b.     Tomato

c.     Uncooked Beans

d.     Anything overly fatty, sweet or salty

e.     Anything with alcohol in it

f.      Uncooked Potatoes and Potato skin
